TeachAustralia Information Session

TeachAustralia is interested in recruiting qualified Canadian Teachers for contract and casual Teaching for 16 positions in Melbourne in July & Sept 2010.

Information Session to be held:

  • Date: Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010
  • Time: 1:30PM - 2:30PM
  • Room: 228 (Education Building)

May 2010 Graduates are welcome to apply.

TeachAustralia has been placing Graduates from Canadian Universities in Victorian Schools since 2003.

Teaching Consultant will be holding interviews on March 2nd. Before & After the information sessions. If you wish to book an interview please e-mail your request admin@teachaustralia.ca ASAP to avoid disappointment. LIMITED number of interview slots. AVAILABLE. INTERVIEW requests will be confirmed ON FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS.

First Annual Education Social

Your Education Student's Society is hosting the first Annual Education Social on February 23, 2010. Here's some information:

  • Tuesday, February 23, 2010
  • 7pm-10pm
  • Innovation Place
  • 3rd, 4th and 5th years only (contact ureginaess@gmail.com if there are exceptions)
  • Tickets = $15.00
  • Only 110 tickets: contact ureginaess@gmail.com to reserve a ticket
  • Several representatives of the education systems of Sasktachewan will be in attendance. This is a great chance to talk to your future employers and talk about the process of interviewing and applying for jobs. Some representatives may even be interviewing and hiring on the spot.

PD Event Change

Originally, we had the PD Event "Treaty Kits with Susan Beadin" at scheduled on February 24, 2010. Due to scheduling conflicts, we are replacing this PD Event with "Life as an Intern". We are still going to have the Treaty Kit PD Event, but the date is TBA. Here's some information on "Life as an Intern":
  • February 24 at 7pm
  • Teacher Prep Center, 2cd floor Ed Building
  • Approximately five education students who completed their internship this fall will be in attendance. They are there to talk about their experiences and answer questions. There will be as wide of variety of interns as possible (ie; ECE, Middle Years, BAC, Arts Ed, etc.)

Pre-registration is not necessary, just show up! You will receive a certificate to put in your porfolio. Stay tuned for updates on the Treaty Kit event!
